The first 20 teachers shape this thing.
playBops turns a lesson into a browser game your students play from one link — no student accounts, no ads, no installs. I'm looking for 20 teachers to run it with a real class and tell me the truth about it.
What founding teachers get
- 6 months of Pro, free. A paid tier ($7/month) is coming once payments are wired up. Founding teachers get their first 6 months of it free from the day it launches — the deal, in writing, on this page.
- Games built to order, front of the queue. Tell me what you're teaching next week and it gets built — usually within 24 hours.
- Live class sessions. Open any game with a 6-digit join code and a projector QR; watch who's joined and a live leaderboard. Students still never sign in — nicknames are auto-generated, and session data deletes itself after 30 days.
- Your name on the site, if you want it. A founding-teachers credit with your name and school. Entirely optional — feedback is just as welcome anonymously.
- A real say. The feedback from these 20 classrooms decides what gets built next. This is the whole reason the programme exists.
What I ask in return
Use it with a real class at least once, and tell me honestly what worked and what didn't — a few sentences is plenty. That's it. No posting or sharing required. If you like it enough to mention it to other teachers, that's appreciated, never expected.
Claim a spot
The fine print, plainly: "6 months of Pro free" means every paid feature of the teacher Pro plan, free for 6 months starting the day the plan launches, for the first 20 teachers who join and give feedback on real classroom use. No card to enter — now or during those months. Everything free today stays free after they end, and students always play free for everyone, founding or not.
Questions you'd be right to ask
- Why only 20?
- Because I answer every one of these personally and build games to order for them. Twenty classrooms of honest feedback is worth more than a thousand signups I can't listen to.
- What's the catch?
- Your feedback is the catch. The product is young — some games will land flat with your class, and hearing that is exactly what the free Pro months are buying.
- Do my students need anything?
- No. They open a link and play — no account, no email, no app, no ads. Nothing about them is collected. That's permanent, not a beta perk.
- I teach in Arabic — does it work for my classroom?
- Yes — there are Arabic right-to-left games already live, and Arabic requests get built the same way English ones do. I'd especially value feedback from Arabic-medium classrooms.
