Privacy at Bops Lab
Version 2026-10-13. Bops Lab shares its account system with playBops, so the full playBops privacy policy applies. This page adds what is specific to Bops Lab. Questions: privacy@playbops.com.
Who it's for
Learners 13 and up, and adults. We ask for birth month and year at sign-up; anyone under 13 is sent to playBops, where a parent creates their profile, and nothing is stored in Bops Lab.
What we keep
- Account: email, optional name, birth month and year, and how you sign in.
- Progress: which challenge levels you passed and when — not your typed answers.
- Usage and analytics: lab started or completed, sign-up, Lab Plus page views and purchases, the link you arrived from (for example which video), and a random device id. We also use analytics tools, currently Cloudflare Web Analytics (pages viewed, referrer, browser and device type, page speed), to understand how people use Bops Lab and build what they need. We may add or change analytics tools; this page lists the ones in use.
- Payments: handled by Whop. We get your plan and its status, never your card details.
- Reports you send on the corrections page.
Why
To run your account, save progress and streaks, unlock Lab Plus, show a linked parent a summary (only if you share your code), fix science errors, and learn which videos and labs actually help people learn. We never sell personal data or show ads.
Parents
You can give a parent a link code from your profile. They then see labs completed, levels passed, streak and last active — never your answers. Either side can remove the link.
How long we keep it
Account and progress stay until you delete them. Usage events are kept for 24 months, then deleted or turned into totals that identify no one. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days.
Your choices
Email privacy@playbops.com from your account address to get a copy of your data or delete your account and progress. We act within 30 days; deleted data leaves our backups within 30 more days.
Using Bops Lab also means agreeing to the playBops terms.
